Fundraising opportunities

Having the ambition to offer sport to as many children as possible, 2005 saw Mark visit Jinja, a small town in Uganda, and most recently Steve has just returned having spent the October half term out there. Their aims and objectives were to bring fun based coaching into sport whilst tackling any other issues they could help with. They coached many children, some days running sports galas with up to 1,500 children taking part. Mark and Steve also had the responsibility to develop young coaches, this was so quality coaching could take place resulting in enjoyment and maximum participation. The visit also included helping to bring water pipes into local villages and towns.

Since returning from Africa, Mark and Steve have brought their experiences into schools and PAS regularly run fundraising events with proceeds being divided to both the school and Agapao International.

Steve has just completed his own funraising after just returning from Jinja. His aim was to not shave for 10 weeks, from 27th October 08 to the 5th January 09. Big thanks to everyone who supported him.

Our latest fundraiser sees PAS organise a team of 25 participants to take part in 'The National Three Peaks Challenge'. We will have 24 hours to climb Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in England and Ben Nevis in Scotland! Taking part in this huge fundraiser will be 12 PAS coaches, HPBC members, Ben Price from High Peak Radio, Andy Rudkin from the Glossop Chronicle, other associates PAS work alongside, family members and friends. Our aim is to raise a staggering £5,000 for Agapao. To support PAS in this challenge, you can sponsor us by going to our just giving website - www.justgiving.com/pasman
