Latest Update from PAS!

Posted on by Steve

We wanted to drop you an email with our latest news following the confirmation that schools are back open on Monday! It’s certainly an exciting time and indicates that things are slowly getting better and hopefully moving back to a more normal way of life. So, what does that mean for PAS and you…

PE and other school run activities…

As you may well know, we haven’t stopped coaching throughout any of these lockdowns as our awesome team of coaches have still been delivering PE to those in schools, i.e. the vulnerable children and those children of key worker parents/guardians. So not much will change on the PE front, apart from classes will be fuller and it will of course be lovely to have everyone back doing their normal PE lessons.  We cannot be any prouder of our coaches who have consistently followed guidelines and have changed, tweaked, amended sessions as and when they have had to. Yes we’ve all had to be flexible with everything that has gone on, but it just shows what a brilliant team we have at PAS. More on this will come over the next few days as we look at the individual efforts from Alex, Sam, Joe, Luke, Jack, Jess and Mark. Watch this space!

Private After School Clubs…

Our parent/guardian paid after school clubs will re-start after the Easter holidays. This will give PAS, schools and everyone else time to adjust back into the normal school routine. It will also give us time to get things ready for a smooth delivery as there will still be various safety measures in place. All these measures, including keeping to our bubbles, will be outlined over the next few weeks. We’ll also be confirming start dates and finish dates for these new clubs. Although we are treating them as new clubs, our previous email outlined that all bookings would be put on hold and then applied to new clubs once re-started. So, for all those children already booked on, you’re still booked on! Once again, look out for information coming into school over the next week or so with regards to start dates etc.

Easter Holiday Camp 2021…

Our Easter Holiday Camp is ON! We’re running all 9 days from Tuesday 6th until Friday 16th April again at St. Luke’s Primary School in Glossop. Our ‘Football & Multi-Sports’ activity camp is back to being open to ALL, so that’s boys and girls from the age of 4 up. We’re super excited about this and have to say another huge thank you to Mrs. Littlehailes and everyone at St. Luke’s for the opportunity to offer this once again. It also goes without saying that we will continue with all relevant safety measures and will keep to all the guidelines in place. This will of course mean not sharing equipment, keeping socially distant and remaining in bubbles. This will also mean numbers will be limited so please book early to guarantee your place. See links below for more information and to book –

Adventure Camp…

We are also running 6 days of our adventurous activities starting on Tuesday 6th April! Based from our head office in Hadfield, Glossop and running Tuesday to Thursday both weeks, we’ve got Bushcraft Activities including shelter building, team games and fire camp preparation. We’ve got navigation and orienteering on our Treasure Hunt days, plus our Mountain Biking activity days which also include Bikeability training! All in all we have another awesome programme lined up! Just like our Holiday Camps however, we have various safety measures continuing and obviously guidelines to abide to. Similar to previous times, our numbers are limited so again please book early to guarantee your place. See links below for more information and to book –

Other Clubs, JungleFit, Birthday Parties and more…

Over the next few weeks we’re going to be working hard to get all our other services up and running. We know we all want to return to normal soon, but we need to ensure we stagger things ensuring that we all follow the guidelines and maintain all those safety measures. As always, as soon as we confirm details we’ll inform you straight away. Stay tuned…

Finally…

As I’m sure you’ll agree things are certainly moving in the right direction. Getting kids back to school, back to sports and back to leading a healthy lifestyle is what we all want. Doing this in the correct, controlled way is paramount. Supporting them and each other will be essential. We all have a role to play. Let’s look to the future and bring that positivity, motivation and encouragement! Bring it on! As always, thank you for reading our latest update and thank you for your continued support… Take care and see you all soon!
