Well done campers!!!
Posted on by SteveCongratulations to everyone who attended one of our Camps over the February half term.
PAS ran 5 Camps in and around the High Peak, including Glossop, Chapel, Buxton and Disley. These Camps were ‘Soccer & Multi-Sport Camps’ were children can take part in various sports throughout the week. Some children attended for a day, a few days or the full week! PAS coaches said all participants were fantastic and everyone seemed to have a great time!
Pictured below are children from our Glossop Holiday Camp.
We also ran our ‘Adventure Camp’ which again was another success! Various activities were on offer throughout the week, however we had to cancel Tuesday and Wednesday due to health and safety on our walking and mountain biking routes, snow and ice being the reason. Monday, Thursday and Friday still went ahead and again everyone who took part did a great job!
Picture below are children on the low ropes course before heading to the high ropes course.
February Camps start on Monday!
Posted on by SteveGlossop, Buxton, Chapel and Disley Holiday Camps start on Monday 13th February! We also have our Adventure Camp which again starts on Monday.
All Camps are running for 5 days and there are plenty of options to choose from. Whether it’s our Soccer or Multi-Sport Camps where you get to choose what sport you want to take part in, or whether you want to do 1 day or the full week, or even just a morning or afternoon, the options to participate are endless…
Don’t forget you can also just turn up on the day you want to play, our coaches will be happy to register you on the day. Unfortunately you must book on in advance for our Adventure Camps, these Camps have a maximum of 12 spaces per day and usually are fully book, however we still have a few spaces left.
Remember all Camp locations have indoor and outdoor facilities, so even when the weather is against us, PAS still run our popular Holiday & Adventure Camp activities!

2012 Starts with a bang!
Posted on by StevePAS would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year, let’s hope this year is a cracker for sport!
We’ve started this year running various assembly’s to promote our after school club programme, but one assembly today was totally different. Just before the Christmas break PAS and Taxal & Fernilee Primary School ran a charity fundraising day in aid of Agapao International. The day was an action packed day with everyone in the school taking part. Each class learnt 10 African skills and once completing the skills had to raise sponsorship to help the charity.
This morning Mark and Steve from PAS attended an assembly at Taxal & Fernilee Primary School, where the total amount raise was handed over. The School raised a staggering £112.50, which will provide a village in Uganda with a stand pipe, bringing clean and fresh water.
PAS would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Taxal & Fernilee Primary School, your effort and generosity has been amazing!

PAS coach Mark visits Spurs.
Posted on by StevePeak Active Sport Director, Mark Jennings, has been on the look out for new coaches to work with PAS and also with Soccer Academy in the US. Every year Mark and Paul Ellis, President of Soccer Academy, hold interviews all over the UK. Last week Mark and Paul interviewed over 100 possible candidates who want to either coach for PAS or coach over in America with Soccer Academy.
During their week, Mark and Paul were also invited to Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, where Soccer Academy have a strong link. Mark being a Spurs fan, was obviously overjoyed at the prospect of meeting all the players. They were also invited to watch the 1st team train and able to ask various questions to players and coaching staff.
Pictured below is Mark with Gareth Bale.

After School Clubs Finish…
Posted on by SteveMany of our after school clubs finish his week…
If you or your child signed up for our Olympic themed clubs, then you will be recieving a special goodie bag! The theme for this term was the ‘Bronze Award’ meaning everyone will receive a bronze PE bag, certificate, flyer for our Xmas Camps plus an Olympic size bronze medal!!!
Our Olympic themed after school clubs will restart again after the Christmas period. The next theme will be the ‘Silver Award’ and again there will be various goodies up for grabs.
Finally we get asked quite a lot why we give out goodie bags… Our answer is simple, we like to reward children for taking part in sport! As many know the benefits of sport we want and need to encourage as many children to take part, hopefully the goodies are an added incentive into participation within sport.

PAS Coaches receive ‘Coach Mark’ award!
Posted on by SteveDirectors at Peak Active Sport have received the ‘Derbyshire Coach Mark Award’.
Both Mark Jennings and Steve Brackenridge have obtained the ‘Derbyshire Coach Mark’ which only 2 other sports coaches in Derbyshire have received. It is an award to demonstrate high standards in sports coaching. One assesses commented, “Overall very good sessions are being delivered, demonstrating full control over a group and all participants clearly enjoy the sessions”.
The Derbyshire Coach Mark is a licensing scheme designed to ensure coaches working within a school environment do so to a high quality standard. The Derbyshire Coach Mark compliments the coaching structure within National Governing Bodies of Sport, offers one brand easily recognisable to schools and provides a structure for coaches to develop within.
Other coaches from PAS are in the final stages of obtaining the status and are awaiting their assessments. Following this, PAS will have the most ‘Coach Mark’ coaches working within schools and with other local organisations through Derbyshire and the High Peak.
