Fundraising by Peak Active SportFundraising opportunities

Peak Active Sport fundraise for a chosen charity named, Agapao International, working in Uganda, Africa. Both Mark and Steve have had the privilege of visiting Uganda to see what has been achieved by our fundraising efforts.

Since returning from Africa, Mark and Steve have brought their experiences into schools, and PAS regularly run educational fundraising events, with proceeds being divided between both the school and Agapao International.

PAS continuously run and take part in fundraising events… Our biggest effort so far was to organise a team of 21 participants to take part in the national ‘Three Peaks Challenge’. The challenge was to climb Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in England and Ben Nevis in Scotland, all within 24 hours! Taking part in this challenge were 12 PAS coaches, HPBC members, Ben Price (former High Peak Radio presenter), Andy Rudkin from the Glossop & Tameside Chronicle, plus many family members and friends. We raised an amazing £5,000 which went towards building a primary school for the street children in Jinja, Uganda. The school was completed back in September 2011 and Mark and Steve can’t wait to visit and see it for themselves.
